Helgemo & Liou Pediatrics is pleased to announce the addition of Jennifer Dibert as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Born and raised in Ohio, Jennifer always wanted to live in Florida near the beach in a warm, year-round tropical climate. And having a mom as a nurse, she also had her heart in the medical field from early on. Jennifer states, “As a child, I was able to go with my mother to work in the hospital for ‘Take your daughter to work day’ and live the day as a nurse. Since my mother was a preoperative nurse, I was even able to go into the operating room and watch many different types of surgeries. I found it all to be so fascinating!” She continues, “After finishing high school, I did a complete flip and decided to pursue an arts degree. However, in my third year of college — while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts — I realized my passion was still in the medical field and made the decision after graduation to go back to college to pursue nursing. During my nursing career, I’ve spent my time working in all areas of obstetrics and have really enjoyed caring for newborns and new parents.” Jennifer’s dream of working in pediatrics and strong sense of empathy were also strengthened during her many hours of volunteer work. According to Jennifer, “Whenever I volunteered with my local church, I’ve always chosen to work with kids. While in my clinical rotations, I solidified my desire to work with children to help them live long happy lives.” She adds, “What I love most about pediatrics is having the opportunity to get to know the children and their families. I love to watch kids grow and learn, knowing that I get the opportunity to be a part of their early journey in life and help them to grow into happy, healthy adults. I have four young kids myself, so it’s easy to connect and relate to the parents as well.” When she’s not working, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband and their children at Disney World, where their favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The family also enjoys going to the beach and swimming in their community pool. Jennifer is indeed now living her dream of being in Florida and working as a pediatric nurse.
