Kristy loves her young patients. She also loves interacting with their parents. As a mom of little ones herself, she can easily relate to their fears and concerns. As a provider, Kristy diagnoses illness, conducts exams, and prescribes medications and performs in-office procedures.
But who is she really? We asked Kristy a few questions that will give you a glimpse of the woman behind the stethoscope:
Q: What drew you into medicine?
The desire to help others was the main reason I was drawn to medicine. It always fascinated me. I like the way it constantly changes with the advancements that are made. You are always learning.
Q: What do you love most about your job?
I love the bond with patients and their families. It’s great to be able to watch them grow and develop.
Q: What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
I was a Junior Olympic gymnast.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not treating patients?
I like to spend time with my family and kids.
Q: What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
I loved going fishing and boating with my family.
Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Egypt. I like the historical aspects.
Q: If there was one thing you’d want all your patients to know, what would it be?
I really care about the well being of your children. If you have questions, please ask. When it comes to your kids, there are no silly questions.
